The service is not free as the name suggests but we have been running an online store with secure server for credit card transactions etc for over a year now with these. You can buy your domain with 123 reg and do what is called a soft transfer to uk web so they can host it for you. You need uk web server information and cut and paste this in 123. Simple. No cost for soft transfer.

I purchased UK hosting for my site. I hired a Indian programmer to work on my site and by mistake due to wrong coding around 8000 emails were sent to his own id through the hosting server and the web host has stopped my site and he is not returning my site%26#039;s database.

For a new domain name just go to any big register, enom.com is a good one and so is godaddy.com. One important rule is to always keep your domain separate from the company you get your hosting from. Too many hosting companies use domains as hostage to keep you from moving when they start to suck.

For hosting in the UK it depends on what you need. For cheap shared hosting try uk2.net or hostnine.com, for a vps solarvps.com.
